Events: one invitation link and RSVP tracking
How to create an event, send one invitation link, collect RSVPs and get automatic reminders. Includes the difference between a private and a business event and how money works in each.
The "Events" screen has two tabs. "My events" are the events you organize; "Where to go" is the discovery feed of events to attend. This guide covers the first one.
The first question decides everything
When you create an event you choose between a private and a business event, and that choice decides how money is collected and who can see the event.
A private event is a birthday, a wedding or a house party. We never touch the money: if people are splitting a cost you add your own payment link, guests tap it, and the money reaches you directly with no fee from us. A private event also stays out of Google and off your business card unless you choose otherwise.
A business event is a workshop, a talk, a meetup or a conference. You can sell tickets through MyVisito with secure payment, a receipt for the buyer, refunds and seat counting, available on Premium and above. Its guests also join your contacts.
The event's address
Every event gets its own address in the form myvisito.com/event/your-event-name, for example myvisito.com/event/dana-50, and that is what you send in a message. You can edit the name on the event screen and pick a shorter one, with instant availability checking. The address belongs to the event rather than to your card, so a private party gives away nothing about who is hosting it. Want to know where guests came from? The event screen has a "link with tracking": name the place you post it (say, instagram), and the guest list shows how many answered from each source.
Entering guests and sending invitations from the system
You are not limited to sharing a link: enter guests into the list, one by one, by pasting a whole list (names, phones, emails), or by picking from your contacts, then hit "Send invitations". Every guest gets a personal "you are invited" with a link that already knows who they are. Email goes out right away. WhatsApp or SMS to numbers you entered yourself goes out after a one-time confirmation that these are people you know personally who expect the invitation, exactly how wedding-invitation services work. The list shows who was invited and on which channel, with a per-guest resend. Something changed? "Update guests" sends one sentence to everyone who said yes.
Designing the invitation
Pick one of six designs and upload a cover photo, or hit "Design with AI": the system paints two banner candidates from the event's own details and the mood you picked, and choosing one makes it the invitation image. The event screen also shows "how it looks when shared", exactly as the link will appear in WhatsApp; if you uploaded no photo, an automatic share image is generated in the invitation's design. The invitation looks the same for everyone who opens it, dark mode included, and always in the language you chose for the event so every guest sees the same wording.
RSVPs
Guests answer in two taps: coming, not coming, or maybe. You can ask how many people are coming, and then the count is in people rather than answers, so one family is counted correctly. You can set a number of spots, and the RSVP closes itself once it fills, and you can set a deadline.
Reminders
On paid plans you build the reminders yourself: pick when (say, three days before), who (guests who have not answered, or guests who said yes) and how, up to five per event. Every new event starts with two sensible ones. Automatic WhatsApp goes out from MyVisito's own number, and only to guests who left their phone in the RSVP form themselves; anyone who never answered is nudged with one tap from the guest list, message already written, on every plan.
How many events
One private event on the free plan, three on Starter, and unlimited on Premium and above.
